OUR BUSINESS 
Hardware: DATA has been, for the past 11 years, selling state of the art technology IBM-compatible peripherals (initially TELEX, later MEMOREX TELEX), and add on components for IBM legacy systems, as well as delivering superior multi-vendor products, such as GENICOM, PERLE, MICRO-INTEGRATION to empower our customers for improved performance, better integration and higher value from their information systems.
 
Customer Services: DATA is a single source and a reliable long-term partner for service and support needs of all its customers. Over the years, DATA has earned a broad-based reputation for responsive, reliable and around-the-clock service and support. Manned with highly skilled and qualified engineers, this is one of DATA’s forte.

OUR HISTORY 
DATA entered IBM market towards the end of 1988 to provide an alternative source for IBM users in services, IBM plug-compatible peripherals and special purpose hardware that interface with IBM computer systems.
 
DATA is proud of its record in Turkey of being the FIRST "IBM PLUG-COMPATIBLE" supplier of bilingual peripherals, and the FIRST "LEASING AND BROKERAGE" company for IBM computer equipment, and one of the leading "IBM THIRD PARTY MAINTENANCE" company.
 
DATA's well-established role in IBM field emanates from its founders' business philosophy of professionalism, long term commitment, dependability, and responsiveness.
 
DATA is also the leading provider of Genicom TAT ticket printers to Turkish Airlines for their GALILEO Reservation System. AMADEOUS is another major customer for Genicom TAT ticket printers for their own travel agents thorough out the country.
 
DATA has grown to have sales and service centers in all four regions of Turkey; Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana. Headquartered in Istanbul, DATA covers the whole country through these four centers.
 
Currently, DATA has 28 employees. They are highly skilled, highly trained and well educated. Outside and internal training of the staff is a continuous process within the Company.
 
For more than 15 years, DATA has been delivering IT products and services that helped its customers’ business. Thus, DATA established itself as a leading provider of Information Technology in Turkey through the high reliability of its products, its friendly and dependable services, and its solid financial position.
 
HARDWARE  
TELEX, later MEMOREX TELEX, and followed with VISARA’s IBM compatible peripherals have been the flagship of DATA’s product line. Other products sold in the past included GENICOM’s high-speed impact and non-impact printers, Decision Data peripherals, and MICRO-INTEGRATION’s emulation cards.
 
Currently, DATA represents VISARA, IER, RARITAN, PERLE, and FARABI…
 
In addition, DATA offers IBM system upgrades and refurbished IBM equipment.
 
DATA's installed base has exceeded 20 thousand units of various brands throughout Turkey with major and prestigious customers.
 
DATA takes part in public bids for maintenance of computer systems of government and private institutions. Currently, DATA is executing several long- term contracts awarded to it. They include installations of IBM systems, mission-critical installations and other major computer system suppliers’ equipment.
 
DATA's service customers include Ministries, Government Institutions, major banks, and large private corporations. In addition, several international airlines in Turkey (US Air, Finn Air, Malaysian Air...) depend on DATA for the maintenance of their airline reservation computer equipment.
 
After 15 years of continuous and dependable service to its growing base of customers, DATA is the leading service and support IT company for IBM system users in Turkey.

COMPANY STRUCTURE 
DATA was established in 1982 but was not very active until July 1987 when it was appointed by TELEX COMPUTER PRODUCTS INC., as the Exclusive Distributor for IBM plug-compatible peripherals in Turkey.
 
DATA is a limited liability company organized under the laws of Turkey. Its partners are Ertugrul Chepni, a Turkish national -founder and majority share holder-, and Ziya Mamus, a Turkish national.
